Deo Water Services (Pty) Ltd is a family-owned engineering firm specialising in industrial water treatment solutions, heavy-duty plant maintenance and advanced pump services. With our head office in Johannesburg and a regional branch office in Nelspruit, our mobile engineering teams support commercial, mining, manufacturing and utility operations throughout South Africa and internationally.

Established in June 2013, Deo Water Services brings together practical site experience, technical management and engineering capability to support demanding industrial applications. We work across treatment plant design and installation, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support.
Our leadership team, headed by Managing Director Deon Smit and Technical Manager DJ Smit, brings over 36 years of combined industry experience. This background supports informed decision-making, responsive field service and the delivery of complex treatment and pumping systems.
From routine pump service to large treatment-plant work, our focus is to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose solutions and practical support aligned with each client's operating requirements.

Deon brings more than three decades of water-sector experience, including a 17-year corporate background in technical and service management roles at Veolia Water. This experience supports service strategy, customer relationships, project planning and delivery across demanding industrial environments.
Technical Manager
17 years of specialised technical experience
DJ brings 17 years of technical experience, including six years as a Service and Projects Technician at Veolia Water. His field background includes sewage and wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis plant optimisation, plant troubleshooting, precision maintenance and commissioning support for complex treatment facilities.

Our team has worked on diverse water-system and industrial service requirements, including cross-border mobile dosing setups, international plant commissioning and water-system installations for a range of clients. Experience cited by the company includes work associated with the Veolia Ohio Water Treatment Plant and water-system installations for various Virgin Active facilities.
